After months of coveting pictures of their Not-So-Daily donuts, cupcakes, cakes and more, I finally decided to make the trip down to Sticky Fingers. While Columbia Heights is not exactly what I would consider a visitors destination in D.C, this awesome bakery is located in the midst of a center with many other shops and stores worth popping into. If you are in the DMV but outside of the pot hole, otherwise known as Washington D.C, it can be a bit of a hassle to get to. The trip is, however completely worth it. This is a location that gets a lot of traffic, their donuts on the days they are available sell out fast.
I was hoping I would be able to sample all four donut flavors available today, but only the flavors Samoa and Vanilla were left by 2pm. I opted to get a strawberry margarita cupcake along with my two donuts that were so so so good, and I am excited to try that a little bit later. The staff were sweet, the seating was full and the baked goods looked amazing.
These donuts were perfect, they really were. You would be hard-pressed to find any difference between these donuts and non-vegan donuts, with the exception that the flavors offered at Sticky Fingers are more unique and delicious.
